Air Fryer Bang Bang Salmon Bites

Ingredients
  

1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into bite-sized pieces

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred for extra crunch)

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1 large egg, beaten

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

For the Bang Bang Sauce:

1/4 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce

1 tablespoon sriracha (or more for extra heat)

1 teaspoon lime juice

Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions
 

Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

    In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.

      In another bowl, beat the egg.

        In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.

          Dredge each piece of salmon in the flour mixture, shaking off the excess.

            Dip the floured salmon into the egg, ensuring it's fully coated.

              Roll the salmon piece in the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere. Repeat for all salmon pieces.

                Drizzle the olive oil over the coated salmon bites and toss to lightly coat.

                  Place the salmon bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overlapping.

                    Air fry for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, shaking the basket halfway through cooking for even crispness.

                      While the salmon bites are cooking, prepare the Bang Bang sauce by combining mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and lime juice in a small bowl. Mix until smooth.

                        Once cooked, remove the salmon bites from the air fryer and serve warm with the Bang Bang sauce drizzled on top or on the side for dipping.

                          Garnish with chopped green onions for a fresh touch.
