Ingredients

4 large russet potatoes

1 cup white vinegar

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon sea salt

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Optional: fresh herbs (like parsley or chives) for garnish

Instructions

Start by peeling the russet potatoes and cutting them into thin strips for French fries (about 1/4 inch thick).

Place the potato strips in a large bowl and cover them with cold water. Allow them to soak for at least 30 minutes to help remove excess starch and make them crispier.

After soaking, drain the potatoes and rinse them under cold water. Then, place them in the bowl again and pour in the white vinegar. Let them soak in the vinegar for another 30 minutes to infuse flavors.

After rinsing the potatoes again, pat them dry with paper towels to remove any moisture.

In a large bowl, toss the dried potato strips with olive oil, sea salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until they are evenly coated.

Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C).

Once preheated, arrange the potato strips in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.

Air fry the potatoes for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy to your liking.

Once cooked, remove the fries from the air fryer and sprinkle with additional sea salt if desired.

Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if using for extra flavor and color!

                      Prep Time: 1 hour | Total Time: 1 hour 30 minutes | Servings: 4

                        - Presentation Tips: Serve the fries in a rustic wooden bowl or a cone-shaped paper holder for a casual feel and drizzle a bit of extra vinegar over them right before serving for that extra zing!
