Ingredients

1 pound chicken tenders

8 strips of bacon, chopped

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove it with a slotted spoon and let it drain on paper towels. Reserve about 2 tablespoons of the bacon fat in the skillet.

Mix the Coating: In a mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create your seasoning blend.

Prepare the Chicken Tenders: In a large bowl, toss the chicken tenders with olive oil and apple cider vinegar for added moisture. Then, generously coat each tender in the brown sugar seasoning mixture, ensuring an even coverage.

Wrap with Bacon: If desired, wrap each seasoned chicken tender with a strip of crispy bacon. This step adds extra flavor and crunch!

Bake: Place the chicken tenders on the lined baking sheet. If wrapped with bacon, arrange them seam side down. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the bacon is crisp.

Garnish and Serve: Once cooked, remove the tenders from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color. Serve hot and enjoy!
