12 fresh jalapeño peppers

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/4 tsp smoked paprika (optional)

12 strips of bacon

Salt and pepper to taste

Toothpicks (for securing)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes to reduce heat, if desired.

      In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.

        Fill each jalapeño half generously with the cheese mixture.

          Cut the bacon strips in half. Wrap each stuffed jalapeño half with a piece of bacon, securing with a toothpick if necessary.

            Place the bacon-wrapped jalapeños on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat, evenly spaced.

              Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the jalapeños are tender.

                Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
