Ingredients

2 pounds of fresh or frozen crab legs

1 cup unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Crab Legs: If using frozen crab legs, thaw them under cold running water for about 10-15 minutes. Pat them dry with a paper towel.

Make the Butter Sauce: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, paprika, and red pepper flakes (if using). Let the mixture simmer for about 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Arrange the Crab Legs: Place the crab legs in a baking dish, splitting them with kitchen scissors if necessary to fit. Season with salt and pepper. Pour half of the butter sauce over the crab legs, making sure they are well coated.

Bake the Crab Legs: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes. This allows the flavors to meld and the crab legs to heat through.

Finishing Touch: After 20 minutes, remove the foil and brush the remaining butter sauce over the exposed parts of the crab legs. Bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes to allow the edges to crisp slightly.

Serve: Remove from the oven, and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve hot with lemon wedges and the remaining butter sauce for dipping.
