8 oz (225g) raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 slices of rustic bread (sourdough or whole grain)

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 garlic clove, minced

1 green onion, finely chopped

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon lime juice

1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes (optional for heat)

Salt and pepper to taste

Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a food processor, add the raw shrimp, mayonnaise, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, lime juice, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Blend until the mixture is smooth yet still holds some texture.

Transfer the shrimp mixture to a mixing bowl and fold in the chopped green onion, cilantro (or parsley), and red chili flakes if using.

Lay the slices of rustic bread on the prepared baking sheet. Spread a generous layer of the shrimp mixture on each slice, ensuring even coverage.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the shrimp topping is cooked through and slightly golden.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the top before serving.
