1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 slices of white or whole grain bread

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon ginger, grated

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro

1 tablespoon green onions, finely sliced

1 teaspoon chili paste (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a food processor, add the shrimp, sesame oil, mayonnaise, minced garlic, grated ginger, and soy sauce. Blend until the mixture becomes a smooth paste.

Stir in the chopped cilantro, green onions, chili paste (if using), and season with salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Cut each slice of bread into quarters (for bite-sized pieces) and spread a thick layer of the shrimp mixture onto the top of each bread piece.

Place the prepared bread slices on the baking sheet. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top of each piece for added texture and flavor.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the shrimp topping is cooked through and the edges of the bread are golden and crispy.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
