Ingredients

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

Salt and pepper, to taste

½ cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce

1 teaspoon sriracha (optional, for extra heat)

8 slider buns

Leafy romaine or butter lettuce, for topping

Sliced cucumbers, for garnish

Fresh cilantro, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, soak the chicken thighs in buttermilk for at least 1 hour (or overnight in the fridge) for tenderness and flavor absorption.

Prepare the Coating: In another bowl, mix the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper together.

Dredge the Chicken: Remove chicken from buttermilk and allow excess to drip off. Dredge each thigh in the flour mixture, ensuring an even coat. Shake off any excess flour.

Fry the Chicken: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil (enough to cover the bottom of the pan). Once hot, carefully place the chicken thighs in the pan, cooking in batches if necessary. Fry for 5-7 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Make the Bang Bang Sauce: In a separate bowl, combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha (if using). Mix until smooth.

Assemble the Sliders: On each slider bun, place a piece of fried chicken, add a spoonful of the Bang Bang sauce, and top with lettuce, cucumber slices, and cilantro if desired.

Serve: Close the sliders with the top bun and serve immediately, while the chicken is still warm.
