Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

10 strips of bacon, cut in half

1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite variety)

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp smoked paprika

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

Wooden skewers (soaked in water for 30 min)

Instructions

Prepare the Shrimp: In a bowl, mix the shrimp with garlic powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Let marinate for about 20 minutes.

Wrap the Shrimp: Take one half strip of bacon and wrap it around each marinated shrimp, securing it with a wooden skewer.

Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and brush the grates with oil to prevent sticking.

Grill the Skewers: Place the bacon-wrapped shrimp on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until the bacon is crispy and the shrimp are pink and opaque.

Baste with BBQ Sauce: During the last few minutes of grilling, brush the BBQ sauce over the shrimp. Flip and baste the other side as well.

Serve: Once cooked, remove from the grill and let rest for a minute. Serve hot with extra BBQ sauce for dipping.
