Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup cooked ground beef, seasoned with salt and pepper

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup beef broth

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt until combined.

In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter and buttermilk until well combined.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

Gently fold in the cooked ground beef and shredded cheddar cheese, distributing evenly.

In a 9x13 inch baking dish, pour in the beef broth and then spoon the biscuit mixture over the top. Allow the biscuit dough to float on the broth; this will help them to swim.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.

Once baked, remove from the oven and let sit for 5 minutes.

Carefully spoon out the biscuits along with some of the flavorful broth to serve.

Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

                      Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 40 minutes | Servings: 6-8

                        - Presentation Tips: Serve the biscuits in the baking dish to emphasize their rustic appeal. Drizzle a little of the broth over the top and add a sprinkle of parsley for a fresh finish.
