Ingredients

1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced

3 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon ground cumin

1 tablespoon ground coriander

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon ground turmeric

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

4 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and black pepper, to taste

4 large pita breads or flatbreads

1 cup tahini sauce

1 large tomato, sliced

1 red onion, thinly sliced

1 cup shredded lettuce

Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, ground cumin, coriander, smoked paprika, turmeric, cinnamon, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.

Add the thinly sliced beef sirloin to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour (or overnight for best flavors).

Preheat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches). Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes.

While the beef is resting, warm the pita breads or flatbreads on the grill or skillet until soft and pliable.

To assemble each sandwich, slice the beef into smaller bite-sized strips and place a generous amount in the center of the warm pita.

Drizzle tahini sauce generously over the beef, then top with sliced tomatoes, red onion, and shredded lettuce.

Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for an extra burst of flavor and color.

Wrap the sandwich tightly and serve immediately, or cut it in half for easy handling.

                    - Presentation Tips: Serve the sandwiches with additional tahini sauce on the side and a few sprigs of parsley for garnish. You can also place some pickles or spicy chili on the side for an extra kick!
