Ingredients

4 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)

1 tsp salt

1 cup whole milk, warmed to 110°F

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

2 tbsp ground cinnamon

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened (for filling)

1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)

2-3 tbsp whole milk (for icing)

1 tsp vanilla extract (for icing)

Instructions

Activate Yeast: In a small bowl, mix warm milk, 1 tsp of sugar, and yeast. Let it stand for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

Make Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Make a well in the center, then add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs. Mix until combined.

Knead Dough: Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.

First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Prepare Filling: In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon together.

Roll Out Dough: Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle (about 16x24 inches).

Spread Butter: Spread the softened butter over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

Add Cinnamon Mixture: Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the buttered dough.

Roll & Cut: Tightly roll the dough into a log, then slice it into 12 equal pieces.

Second Rise: Place the rolls in a greased 9x13 inch baking pan, cover, and let rise for another 30-45 minutes until puffy.

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Bake: Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Prepare Icing: While the rolls are baking, whisk together powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and 2-3 tablespoons of milk until smooth and drizzle-able.

Cool & Ice: Once baked, let the rolls cool for about 10 minutes before drizzling the icing over them.

Serve & Enjoy: Serve warm and enjoy your heavenly cinnamon rolls!
