Ingredients

1 package refrigerated biscuit dough (8-count)

1 pound breakfast sausage (loose)

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

2 cups whole milk

1 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

2 large eggs

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and fully cooked, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes.

Sprinkle the flour over the sausage and stir well to combine, allowing it to cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to eliminate the raw flour taste.

Slowly whisk in the milk, ensuring no lumps form. Continue stirring until the mixture thickens, about 3-5 minutes. Season with black pepper, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper if using. Remove from heat and set aside.

On a baking sheet, spread out the biscuit dough into a large circle or rectangle, pressing to join any seams and create a crust about 1/2 inch thick.

Bake the biscuit crust for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden.

Once the crust is baked, remove it from the oven and carefully spread the sausage gravy evenly over the top.

Create small wells in the gravy and crack the eggs directly into each well.

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese across the pizza.

Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the eggs are set and the cheese is bubbly and melted.

Remove from the oven, let cool for a couple of minutes, then garnish with chopped parsley before slicing.

                        Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 35 minutes | Servings: 4-6

                          - Presentation Tips: Serve each slice on a colorful plate, garnished with extra parsley for a fresh touch. A side of fruit or hash browns can complement the dish beautifully as well.
