Ingredients

2 cups water

2 tablespoons dried sage leaves

1 cup blackberries, plus extra for garnish

2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)

1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)

Ice cubes

Fresh sage leaves for garnish

Instructions

Brew the Sage Tea: In a small pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, add the dried sage leaves. Remove from heat and let steep for 10 minutes. Strain the tea to remove the leaves and set aside to cool.

Make the Blackberry Syrup: In a separate saucepan, combine the blackberries and honey (or maple syrup) over medium heat. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, mashing the berries with a fork until they release their juices. Remove from heat and strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve, pressing down to extract as much juice as possible. Discard the solids and let the syrup cool.

Combine the Elements: In a pitcher, combine the cooled sage tea and blackberry syrup. Stir well to combine.

Prepare the Iced Latte: In a tall glass, fill it halfway with ice cubes. Pour the blackberry-sage tea mixture over the ice, filling the glass about two-thirds full. Top with your choice of milk to complete the latte. Adjust the amount of milk according to your taste preference.

Garnish and Serve: Stir gently to combine all the flavors. Garnish with a few fresh blackberries and a sprig of sage for a beautiful presentation. Enjoy your refreshing Blackberry Sage Iced Tea Latte!
