Ingredients

2 salmon fillets

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon paprika

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and black pepper to taste

2 cups broccoli florets

8 ounces fettuccine pasta

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons butter

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Blackening Spice: In a small bowl, mix together paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Season the Salmon: Rub the spice mixture generously over both sides of the salmon fillets.

Cook the Salmon: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the flesh is cooked through and flaky. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Cook the Broccoli: In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets and sauté for 3-4 minutes until tender but still vibrant. Transfer the broccoli to a plate and keep warm.

Cook the Pasta: In a separate pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the fettuccine according to package instructions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.

Prepare Alfredo Sauce: In the same pot used for pasta, melt butter over medium heat. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring frequently. Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.

Combine Ingredients: Add the cooked fettuccine and sautéed broccoli into the Alfredo sauce. Toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water as needed to achieve your desired consistency.

Serve: Plate the creamy broccoli Alfredo with a generous serving of pasta and broccoli. Top each dish with a blackened salmon fillet.

Garnish: Finish with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color and added flavor.

                    Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 35 minutes | Servings: 2

                      - Presentation Tips: Serve the dish on a large white plate for a clean look, and drizzle over extra Alfredo sauce. A wedge of lemon on the side can also brighten the flavors.
