Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 lb ground turkey

1 cup breadcrumbs

1/2 cup chopped onion

1/2 cup chopped bell pepper (red or green)

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 large eggs

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup ketchup

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon dried thyme

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine both the ground beef and ground turkey.

Add the breadcrumbs, chopped onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic to the meat mixture. Stir until combined.

In a separate small bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, chopped parsley, dried thyme, salt, and pepper.

Pour the egg mixture over the meat mixture and blend until just combined; avoid overmixing to retain tenderness.

Transfer the meat mixture into a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf, smoothing the top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).

For a flavorful glaze, brush the top of the meatloaf with additional ketchup during the last 10 minutes of baking.

Once cooked, remove from the oven and let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.

Serve warm, paired with your favorite sides like mashed potatoes and green beans.
