Ingredients
  

1 pound breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent rolls

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup diced bell peppers (red or green)

1/4 cup chopped green onions

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 egg (for egg wash)

Optional: hot sauce for serving

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Cook the Sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and fully cooked. Break it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Drain excess grease if necessary.

      Mix Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the cooked sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, diced bell peppers, green onions, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly incorporated.

        Prepare Crescent Rolls: Unroll the can of crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles along the perforated lines.

          Fill and Roll: Place a generous tablespoon of the sausage mixture at the wider end of each crescent triangle. Roll the dough toward the pointed end, encasing the filling, and place the rolled crescent on the baking sheet seam-side down.

            Egg Wash: In a small bowl, beat the egg. Brush the tops of each crescent roll with the egg wash for a golden finish.

              Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and puffed up.

                Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with optional hot sauce on the side.
