Ingredients

2 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)

8 ounces shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 lemon, juiced

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Start by seasoning the salmon fillets with half of the Cajun seasoning on both sides. In a bowl, also toss the shrimp with the remaining Cajun seasoning ensuring they are well coated.

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Once hot, place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy, then carefully flip the fillets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until cooked through. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp and set aside with the salmon.

Lower the heat to medium and add the butter to the skillet. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Squeeze the lemon juice into the skillet and stir to combine, allowing the sauce to slightly reduce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Return the shrimp and salmon to the skillet, coating them in the garlic butter sauce. Heat through for about 1-2 minutes.

Serve immediately, garnishing with sliced green onions and chopped parsley for a fresh touch.
