Ingredients

2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour, plus extra for dusting

1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons) active dry yeast

½ cup warm milk (about 110°F)

¼ cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

½ teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

½ cup packed brown sugar

½ cup chopped pecans

½ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

½ cup cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1-2 tablespoons milk (for frosting, if needed)

Instructions

In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.

In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 ¼ cups flour, granulated sugar, melted butter, egg, salt, and the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

Meanwhile, prepare the filling by mixing brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped pecans in a bowl.

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a 12x18-inch rectangle.

Spread caramel sauce evenly over the rolled-out dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle the cinnamon pecan mixture over the caramel.

Starting from one long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Pinch the edge to seal.

Slice the log into 12 equal rolls and place them in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

Cover with a towel and let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.

While the rolls are rising, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

While the rolls are baking, prepare the frosting by mixing cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk in a bowl until smooth. Adjust consistency with extra milk if too thick.

Once baked, remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool slightly before drizzling with the cream cheese frosting.

Prep Time: 30 minutes | Total Time: 2 hours 15 minutes | Servings: 12 rolls.

                                - Presentation Tips: Serve warm on a large platter, drizzled generously with additional caramel sauce and sprinkled with whole pecans for a festive touch.
