Ingredients

2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough

16 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 large eggs

1 cup sour cream

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon lemon zest

Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.

Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and lay it flat in the bottom of the prepared baking dish, pressing the seams together to form a single layer.

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, incorporate the sour cream, lemon juice, and lemon zest, mixing until everything is well combined.

Pour the cheesecake filling over the first layer of crescent roll dough in the baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and tear it into pieces. Sprinkle the pieces over the cheesecake filling to create a topping.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cheesecake filling is set.

Once done, remove from the oven and allow to cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing into squares.

Dust with powdered sugar if desired, for added sweetness and visual appeal.
