Ingredients

4 slices of thick-cut sourdough bread

6 strips of bacon

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Cook the Bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from the skillet and strain on paper towels. Once cooled, chop the bacon into small pieces.

Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with minced garlic, chopped parsley, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Cream until well combined.

Toast the Bread: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Spread a generous layer of the garlic butter mixture on each slice of sourdough bread.

Add Bacon and Cheese: Sprinkle the chopped bacon evenly over the buttered toast slices. Then, top each slice with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.

Bake: Place the prepared toast on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Cut into halves or quarters and garnish with additional parsley if desired before serving.
