Ingredients

1 large French baguette

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried parsley (or 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped)

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 1/2 cups grated mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Optional: red pepper flakes for a kick

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, dried parsley, salt, and black pepper until well blended.

Slice the French baguette in half lengthwise, creating two long halves.

Generously spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over both halves of the baguette.

Sprinkle the grated mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the buttered sides. If desired, add a pinch of red pepper flakes for an extra kick.

Place the prepared baguette halves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

For an extra crispy top, switch the oven to broil for the last 1-2 minutes, but keep a close eye to prevent burning!

Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a minute before slicing into pieces for serving.

                    Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 22 minutes | Servings: 4-6

                      - Presentation Tips: Serve warm on a wooden board or platter, garnished with a sprinkle of fresh parsley for an inviting look.
