Ingredients

8 oz linguine pasta

1 lb ground beef (preferably lean)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Linguine: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.

Brown the Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Transfer the cooked beef to a plate and set aside.

Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

Combine Cream and Cheese: Reduce the heat to low. Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring continuously. Next, add the Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.

Add the Beef and Pasta: Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet. Mix well to combine, then add the drained linguine. Toss everything together until the pasta is coated in the cheesy garlic butter sauce.

Incorporate Mozzarella: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella on top and stir until melted and incorporated throughout the pasta. Taste and adjust with additional salt or pepper, as desired.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with fresh chopped parsley, and serve immediately.
