Ingredients

1 large French baguette

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese, shredded

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped

Salt and pepper, to taste

Balsamic glaze, for drizzling (optional)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Slice the baguette in half lengthwise and spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on both halves.

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the buttered bread.

Distribute the halved cherry tomatoes evenly on top of the cheese.

Add the chopped basil leaves on top of the tomatoes for extra flavor and freshness.

Finally, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over everything.

Place the prepared baguette halves on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Drizzle with balsamic glaze for a touch of sweetness, if desired.

Slice the cheesy garlic caprese bread into individual portions and serve warm.
