Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fusilli pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water to cool.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled pasta, diced chicken, chopped romaine lettuce, and halved cherry tomatoes.
Drizzle the Caesar dressing over the salad and toss gently until everything is well coated.
Add grated Parmesan cheese and toss again. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
If desired, sprinkle croutons on top for an additional crunch, and gently mix them in.
Transfer the salad to a serving bowl or individual plates and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
