2 cups cooked chicken, shredded

12 lasagna noodles

2 cups ricotta cheese

2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded

1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

3 cups spinach, fresh

1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 egg, beaten

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Cook Lasagna Noodles: Boil a large pot of salted water. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package directions until al dente, then drain and rinse them under cold water. Set aside.

      Prepare Chicken Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, half of the Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, basil, oregano, salt, pepper, and beaten egg. Mix until well combined.

        Sauté Spinach: In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the fresh spinach until wilted. Add it to the chicken mixture and stir to combine.

          Layer the Lasagna: In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce at the bottom. Place four lasagna noodles over the sauce. Spread a third of the chicken mixture over the noodles, then add a layer of marinara sauce. Repeat this process with two more layers, finishing with noodles and the remaining marinara sauce on top.

            Top with Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the top.

              Bake: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is bubbly and golden brown.

                Cool and Serve: Allow the lasagna to cool for about 10-15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
