Ingredients

2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 pack of puff pastry sheets (2 sheets)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

1 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)

Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese.

Add the garlic powder, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to the mixture. Stir until everything is well incorporated.

Roll out one sheet of puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until it's about 1/8 inch thick.

Cut the puff pastry into 4 equal squares. Repeat with the second sheet of puff pastry.

Place a generous tablespoon of the chicken-cheese mixture in the center of each square.

Gently fold the corners of each square over the filling to form a pillow shape, sealing the edges by pressing down with a fork.

Brush the tops of each pillow with the beaten egg for a golden finish.

Place the pillows on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until they are puffed up and golden brown.

While the pillows are baking, warm the marinara sauce in a small saucepan.

Once the pillows are ready, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.

Serve the Chicken Parmesan Pillows warm, with marinara sauce on the side for dipping and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
