Ingredients

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup sweetened condensed milk

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans, optional)

1/4 cup mini marshmallows (optional)

Cooking spray or parchment paper for lining the dish

Instructions

Prepare the Dish: Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper or lightly coat it with cooking spray to prevent sticking.

Melt the Chocolate: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Stir continuously until melted and smooth, being careful not to burn the chocolate.

Add Cocoa Powder: Once melted, sift in the unsweetened cocoa powder, stirring until fully incorporated and there are no lumps.

Flavor It: Remove the saucepan from heat and mix in the vanilla extract and salt. If you're adding nuts or mini marshmallows, fold them in at this stage.

Transfer to Dish: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly with a spatula.

Cool and Set: Allow the fudge to cool at room temperature for about 1-2 hours. Then, refrigerate for an additional 1-2 hours or until firm.

Slice and Serve: Once fully set, lift the fudge out of the dish using the parchment paper, and cut it into squares. Serve and enjoy your luscious chocolate fudge!
