Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Cream cheese filling:

4 ounces cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Make the Cream Cheese Filling: In a small bowl, mix 4 ounces of cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth. Set aside in the refrigerator to chill.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Prepare Cookie Dough: In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter, 1 cup cream cheese, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy and well combined.

Add Eggs and Vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, stir in the vanilla extract.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Form the Cookies: Take about 2 tablespoons of cookie dough and flatten it in your palm. Place a teaspoon of the chilled cream cheese filling in the center, fold the dough around it to seal, and roll it into a ball.

Coat with Cinnamon Sugar: In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon. Roll each ball in the mixture until well coated.

Bake: Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 12-14 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.

Cool: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 40 minutes | Servings: 18 cookies

                      - Presentation Tips: Arrange the cookies on a beautiful platter and dust with a little extra cinnamon sugar for added flair. Serve with a side of chocolate or caramel sauce for dipping!
