Ingredients

2 cups cottage cheese

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 egg, beaten

1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

½ teaspoon black pepper

¼ cup fresh herbs (like chives or parsley), chopped

1 tablespoon butter, melted (for brushing)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese, flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Mix well until you have a rough dough.

Add the beaten egg, garlic powder, black pepper, and chopped herbs to the mixture. Stir until everything is well incorporated. You may need to knead the dough lightly on a floured surface if it is too sticky.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and roll each portion into a ball. Then, gently flatten each ball into a round shape about ½ inch thick.

Place the rolled dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops lightly with melted butter for a golden finish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. They are best enjoyed warm.

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 35 minutes | Servings: 12 rolls

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve the cottage cheese rolls warm on a rustic wooden board, garnished with extra fresh herbs, and alongside a small bowl of dipping sauce like a herbed yogurt or salsa for added flavor.
