8 oz. cream cheese, softened

6 oz. lump crab meat, drained and picked over for shells

2 green onions, finely chopped

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp soy sauce

1/2 tsp lemon juice

1/4 tsp black pepper

12-16 wonton wrappers

Vegetable oil (for frying)

Sweet and sour sauce (for dipping)

Instructions
 

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, lump crab meat, chopped green onions, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, lemon juice, and black pepper. Mix until well blended.

    Lay out the wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of the crab mixture onto the center of each wrapper.

      Moisten the edges of the wonton wrappers with water using your fingertips. Fold the wrapper over to create a triangle, sealing the edges tightly. Optionally, you can crimp the edges with a fork for extra security and decoration.

        In a deep skillet or pot, heat 2-3 inches of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

          Fry the filled wontons in batches for about 2-3 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Make sure not to overcrowd the pan.

            Once fried, remove the crab rangoons with a slotted spoon and drain them on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
