Ingredients

For the Biscuits:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried parsley

1/2 teaspoon salt

8 tablespoons unsalted butter, cold and cubed

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

3/4 cup buttermilk

For the Crab Filling:

1 cup lump crab meat, picked over for shells

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning

For the Lemon Butter:

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon lemon zest

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Make the Biscuit Dough: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, and salt. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or forks until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese.

Add Buttermilk: Pour in the buttermilk and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Prepare the Crab Filling: In a separate bowl, mix crab meat, cream cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and Old Bay seasoning until well combined.

Assemble the Biscuits: Use a large spoon to drop a dollop of biscuit dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Create a small indentation in the center, spoon in a tablespoon of the crab filling, and cover with another spoonful of biscuit dough. Make sure to seal the edges as best as you can. Repeat with the remaining dough and filling.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown on top.

Make the Lemon Butter: While the biscuits bake, mix together melted butter, lemon juice, and lemon zest in a small bowl.

Serve: Once biscuits are done, remove from the oven and immediately brush them with lemon butter. Garnish with chopped parsley. Serve warm.
