8 oz penne pasta

2 cups broccoli florets

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Red pepper flakes (optional, for a kick)

Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Add the broccoli florets in the last 3 minutes of cooking. Drain and set aside.

    Cook the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the diced chicken breasts and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until thoroughly cooked and no longer pink. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

      Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, add a little more olive oil if necessary, and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).

        Prepare the Sauce: Lower the heat to medium and pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly. Add the Italian seasoning, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes.

          Combine Chicken, Pasta, and Sauce: Stir in the cooked chicken and drained penne with broccoli, ensuring everything is well coated with the creamy sauce. Gradually add in the Parmesan cheese while stirring until melted and well mixed.

            Serve: Remove from heat and serve immediately, garnishing with fresh basil or parsley and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes if desired.
