Ingredients

1 package of frozen pierogi (cheese or potato filling)

8 oz turkey sausage, sliced (preferably spicy for an extra kick)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 medium onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup spinach, fresh

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup sour cream

1 teaspoon dried dill

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for garnish)

Chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until they start to soften.

Add the sliced turkey sausage to the skillet and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the frozen pierogi directly into the skillet. Carefully stir to combine with the sausage and onions. Allow to cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pierogi are heated through and starting to brown slightly.

Reduce the heat to low, then add the fresh spinach to the skillet, cooking until wilted (about 2 minutes).

Pour in the heavy cream and sour cream, stirring until everything is evenly combined. Sprinkle in the dried dill, and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Allow the mixture to simmer for an additional 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.

If desired, stir in grated Parmesan cheese for extra creaminess and flavor. Remove from heat.

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve the creamy pierogi and turkey sausage skillet in a large shallow bowl, garnished with chopped parsley and an extra sprinkle of Parmesan cheese on top for a beautiful finish.
