Ingredients

1 lb salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into bite-sized cubes

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/4 cup cornstarch

1 egg, beaten

1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

3 tbsp honey

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp rice vinegar

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp olive oil

Sesame seeds and chopped green onions, for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and minced garlic. Set aside.

Coat the Salmon: In a shallow dish, whisk together flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Place the cornstarch in another shallow dish and the beaten egg in a third dish. Finally, place the panko breadcrumbs in a separate bowl.

Bread the Salmon Bites: Dip each salmon cube first into the flour mixture, then into the cornstarch, followed by the egg, and finally roll it in the panko breadcrumbs until fully coated.

Fry the Salmon Bites: Heat olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon bites in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Glaze the Bites: Lower the heat and add the honey garlic mixture to the skillet. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened. Add the crispy salmon bites into the sauce, tossing gently to coat them evenly.

Serve: Remove from heat, transfer the salmon bites to a serving platter, and drizzle with any remaining sauce. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish.
