Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 lb ground pork

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cups French onion soup (canned or homemade)

1 cup breadcrumbs

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 cup shredded Swiss cheese (for topping)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped onion, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, Worcestershire sauce, and fresh parsley.

Add the eggs to the mixture and use your hands to mix everything until well combined.

Form the mixture into a loaf shape and carefully place it into the slow cooker.

Pour the French onion soup over the meatloaf, ensuring it is coated generously.

Set the slow cooker to low and cook for 6 to 8 hours, or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until the meatloaf is fully cooked and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).

About 30 minutes before serving, sprinkle the shredded Swiss cheese on top of the meatloaf. Cover the slow cooker and continue cooking until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Once cooked, carefully remove the meatloaf from the crockpot and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

                  - Presentation Tips: Slice the meatloaf and serve on a platter, garnished with fresh parsley. Optionally, drizzle extra French onion soup around the meatloaf for added flavor and visual appeal. Enjoy with a side of mashed potatoes or crusty bread!
