Ingredients

4 large croissants, sliced in half horizontally

4 large eggs

1 cup whole milk

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon almond extract

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)

Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish (about 9x13 inches) with cooking spray or butter.

Place the sliced croissant halves, cut side up, in the baking dish, overlapping them slightly.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.

Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissant halves, making sure to cover all surfaces. Use a spatula to gently press the croissants down into the custard to absorb the liquid.

Sprinkle the mixed berries evenly across the top of the croissant mixture, pressing them slightly into the custard.

Let the dish sit for about 15-20 minutes to allow the croissants to soak up the custard.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.

Once the bake is finished, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before cutting into squares.

Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar if desired, and enjoy!
