Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Gruyère cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Salt and pepper, to taste

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes until they are pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set it aside.

Prepare the Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to let the garlic burn.

Add Cream and Cheese: Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Gruyère cheese and half of the Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combine Shrimp and Sauce: Return the prepared shrimp to the skillet and mix well until the shrimp are coated with the creamy sauce. Remove from heat.

Prepare for Gratin: Transfer the shrimp mixture into a greased baking dish. In a small bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs with the remaining Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley. Mix well.

Top and Bake: Evenly sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture on top of the shrimp and sauce. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

Serve: Once baked, remove the dish from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor.
