Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup fresh breadcrumbs

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the shrimp turn pink. Remove from heat.

Prepare the Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

Make the Cream Mixture: Add the heavy cream to the skillet and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in half of the Parmesan cheese and the paprika. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts and the mixture thickens slightly. Add lemon juice and stir well.

Combine: Return the sautéed shrimp to the skillet, stirring to coat them in the creamy garlic sauce. Remove from heat and transfer the mixture to a baking dish.

Prepare the Topping: In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, remaining Parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley. Mix well and sprinkle evenly over the shrimp mixture in the baking dish.

Bake: Place the gratin in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.

Serve: Allow the dish to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with extra parsley if desired and enjoy!
