Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Gruyère cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Shrimp: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.

Cook the Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat and set aside.

Make the Cream Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream and half of the Gruyère cheese. Stir well until smooth.

Combine Ingredients: Add the cooked shrimp to the creamy cheese mixture, stirring to combine evenly. Transfer this mixture to a gratin dish or a baking dish.

Top with Cheese and Breadcrumbs: Sprinkle the remaining Gruyère cheese and Parmesan cheese evenly over the shrimp mixture. Finally, top with the breadcrumbs to create a crispy crust.

Bake: Place the gratin in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.

Finish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zing.
