12 oz (340g) spaghetti or linguine

1/2 cup pitted Kalamata olives, roughly chopped

1/2 cup green olives, roughly chopped

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

Zest of 1 lemon

Juice of 1 lemon

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti or linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

    Prepare the Olive Sauce: In a large skillet over medium heat, warm the extra virgin olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to let it burn.

      Add Tomatoes and Olives: Stir in the halved cherry tomatoes, Kalamata olives, and green olives. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the tomatoes soften and start to release their juices.
