Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

4 slices of ham (preferably smoked or honey-baked)

4 slices of Swiss cheese

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, beaten

1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Place each chicken breast between two sheets of plastic wrap. Using a meat mallet or rolling pin, gently pound the chicken to about 1/4 inch thickness.

Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

Lay a slice of ham and a slice of Swiss cheese on top of each chicken breast. Roll the chicken tightly from one end to the other, ensuring the fillings are inside. Secure with toothpicks, if needed.

Set up a breading station: Place the flour in one dish, the beaten eggs in another, and the breadcrumbs in a third dish.

Dredge each chicken roll in flour, shaking off any excess. Dip into the beaten eggs, and then coat in breadcrumbs until fully covered.

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and cook the chicken rolls for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Once browned, transfer the chicken rolls to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).

While the chicken is baking, prepare the creamy sauce. In a saucepan over low heat, combine heavy cream and Dijon mustard. Stir gently until warmed through. Do not let it boil.

Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes. Remove toothpicks before serving.

Plate the chicken rolls drizzled with the creamy sauce and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.

                        Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 50 minutes | Servings: 4

                          - Presentation Tips: Serve the chicken rolls on a platter with a side of steamed vegetables or a light salad. Drizzle the creamy sauce generously over the chicken and sprinkle additional parsley for a vibrant finish.
