Ingredients

12 oz fresh cranberries

1 cup sugar

1 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed)

1 tablespoon grated orange zest

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

Rinse the fresh cranberries under cold water, discarding any that are soft or damaged.

In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, sugar, orange juice, orange zest, ground cinnamon, and sea salt. Stir well to combine.

Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally.

Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens slightly.

Remove from heat and stir in the chopped pecans for an added crunch, if desired.

Allow the sauce to cool to room temperature before transferring it to a serving bowl or airtight container. It will continue to thicken as it cools.

Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.

                Prep Time: 10 mins | Total Time: 30 mins | Servings: 6-8

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve the cranberry sauce in a decorative dish, garnished with a few whole cranberries and a sprig of fresh mint for an elegant touch.
