1 pound large shrimp, cleaned and deveined

2 quarts water

1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning (or to taste)

1 pound small red potatoes, halved

3 ears of corn, cut into thirds

1/2 pound smoked sausage, sliced

1 lemon, halved

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons butter

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

In a large stockpot, bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.

    Stir in the Old Bay seasoning and add the halved potatoes. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.

      Add the sliced smoked sausage to the pot and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

        Next, add the corn pieces and minced garlic. Continue cooking for another 5 minutes.

          Finally, add the shrimp and the halved lemon to the pot. Cook for approximately 2-3 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

            Once cooked, drain the water carefully using a colander. Return the shrimp and veggie mixture to the stockpot.

              Add butter and gently toss everything together until the shrimp and veggies are coated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

                Transfer the shrimp boil to a large serving platter or spread it out on a newspaper-lined table for a casual presentation.
