4 cod fillets (about 6 oz each)

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

    Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté gently for about 2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic. Stir in the lemon juice and smoked paprika, and season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat.

      Arrange Cod Fillets: Place the cod fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the top of each fillet, ensuring each one is well coated.

        Bake the Cod: Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the cod is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. It should be cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

          Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove the cod from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the fish.
