Ingredients

1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 cups broccoli florets

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

5 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Begin by bringing a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and blanch them for about 2 minutes until they turn bright green. Quickly remove the broccoli and transfer it to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until the garlic is fragrant (about 1 minute), taking care not to let it burn.

Add the peeled and deveined shrimp into the skillet. Cook for approximately 3-4 minutes until the shrimp turns pink and opaque, stirring occasionally.

Once the shrimp are cooked, stir in the blanched broccoli, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Combine everything and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.

Season with salt and pepper to taste, and toss well to ensure all ingredients are coated with the garlic butter sauce.

Remove the skillet from heat, and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
