Ingredients

2 ribeye steaks (1-inch thick)

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

6 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon dried thyme

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Steak: Season the ribeye steaks generously with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika on both sides. Let them sit at room temperature for about 20-30 minutes while you prepare the shrimp.

Cook the Steak: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 3 tablespoons of butter. Once melted and bubbling, carefully add the seasoned steaks. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare (adjust time for your preferred doneness). Once cooked, remove the steaks and let them rest on a cutting board for at least 5 minutes.

Cook the Shrimp: In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium. Add the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter and the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the shrimp in a single layer and sprinkle with thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the shrimp are pink and opaque.

Combine: Once the shrimp are cooked, return the steaks to the skillet to reheat briefly and soak up the garlic butter, about 1-2 minutes.

Serve: Slice the steaks against the grain into strips. Arrange them on a platter with the shrimp on the side. Drizzle any remaining garlic butter from the pan over the top. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges for squeezing over.
