1teaspoononion powder
0.5teaspoonsalt
0.25teaspoonblack pepper
1largeegg
4tablespoonsunsalted butter
1tablespoonolive oil
1tablespoonfresh lemon juice
1zestof 1 lemon (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, onion powder, salt, pepper, and egg. Mix well until fully incorporated.
Using your hands, form the mixture into meatballs about the size of a golf ball (approximately 1.5 inches in diameter) and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Meanwhile, in a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the cooked meatballs to the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, turning to coat with the butter.
Add the remaining butter, lemon juice, and lemon zest (if using) to the skillet. Toss the meatballs gently to coat them in the garlicky butter sauce, cooking for another 1-2 minutes.
Remove the skillet from heat and garnish with additional fresh parsley before serving.
