Ingredients

1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried parsley

½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough until it's about ½ inch thick. Cut the dough into strips, approximately 1 inch wide and 5 inches long.

Knot the Dough: Take each strip and tie it into a knot. Place the knots on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each one.

Make the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, oregano, parsley, crushed red pepper flakes, and a pinch of salt. Mix well.

Brush the Knots: Generously brush the garlic butter mixture over each knot, ensuring they are well coated. Reserve some of the garlic butter for drizzling later.

Bake the Knots: Bake the knots in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and puffed up.

Add Cheese: Remove the knots from the oven and immediately sprinkle them with grated Parmesan cheese and drizzle any remaining garlic butter over them.

Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley on top for garnish. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping if desired.
