Ingredients

4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

½ cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Pork Chops: Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

Make the Garlic Parmesan Mixture: In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic, dried oregano, dried thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes (if using), and olive oil. This mixture will infuse the pork chops with flavor.

Coat the Pork Chops: Rub the garlic mixture all over the pork chops, ensuring they are evenly coated.

Prepare the Coating: In another bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs. Mix well.

Coat with Parmesan Breadcrumbs: Press each pork chop into the breadcrumb mixture, making sure both sides are covered thoroughly. This will create a delicious crust when baked.

Bake the Pork Chops: Place the coated pork chops on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until the pork chops are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F/63°C).

Garnish and Serve: Remove the pork chops from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for a burst of freshness.
